Do you want to know how our smart farms work? Let me take you on a walk through our energy efficient smart farm where we created the perfect environment for our strawberry plants. With the help of #robotics and #artificialintelligence, we optimize the #lights, #climate and #nutrition of the #plants. In these ideal surroundings, our #pesticidefree #strawberries grow all year around. SMARTKAS

Our robotics and artificial intelligence team presented the new operating system for SMARTKAS last week. The best way to describe this software is similar to an iOS or Windows operating system for farming. The brand new software will respond to the needs of what the current agricultural sector is missing. A centralized, independent software that can control all aspects of the plant cycle remotely and create optimal growing conditions for our plants from anywhere in the world. In addition to the operating system, the machine intelligence team is currently developing three other new intellectual properties (hard and software) to support our innovation and growth. #innovation #artificialintelligence #intellectualproperties #ai #smartfarming #robotics #smartkas #team #growth #software

A few years ago, as I was reading and researching for SMARTKAS, I came across a list of companies that formed the #agtech #ecosystem. Amazing #growers, #technology providers, #seed and #biotech ventures that I dreamt about working with. Today, I look back upon the Indoor AgTech Innovation Summit as a milestone and a point of reflection to set the course for the #nextchapter in our company’s life. Most of all, I would like to thank my co-panelists Neil Mattson from Cornell University, James Lloyd-Jones from Jones Food Company, Paul J Mastronardi from Ever Tru Farms, and the moderator of the panel Christine Zimmermann-Loessl, from Association for Vertical Farming for the #ecstatic and #fruitful debate we had about scaling up #indoor-grown #strawberries. It was great spending time in the #BigApple with fellow colleagues and tech nuts Endre Szucs and Jaian Cuttari. Special thanks to Tess Danis, Wim Roosens, Mark Kirby for embarking on this journey with me and giving their everything for SMARTKAS. Never forget: All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them. – W.D. #innovation #farming #tech #food #agriculture #verticalfarming #milestone #success #business #newyork #rethinkingthefuture
